In Ecuador we drank beautiful herbal teas daily, both hot and cold. Tradition here has everyone in the country drinking fresh flowers and herbs daily as part of their routine; it is not something that needs to be re-taught as it has remained part of their culture.

Chickens here in Pedernales, are quite different.
You can buy them live or butchered.
They come prepared too. Roasted for take out, fried, grilled or breaded … you choose. There are plenty of restaurants offering homemade dishes or butchers lining the streets where you can choose your cut and take it home to prepare yourself.
There are live chickens everywhere and in the mornings it’s the sound of those chickens that act as an alarm clock, letting everyone know that dawn is around the corner …
Oh and after they’ve woken you up they go back to sleep and quieted down into another slumber of their own.
